Welcome to Wicomico County’s Public Engagement project website

We are excited that you are here and interested in the future of the County! This website is intended to provide information regarding the update of the County’s Comprehensive Plan, as well as any outreach opportunities available to you to participate in.

Project Overview

The Comprehensive Plan will express the vision of what the County wants to become over the next 10 to 20 years and the steps needed to make that vision a reality. It serves as the policy guide and framework for future growth and development, infrastructure and capital improvements, and natural and historical resource conservation. The Plan encompasses the County and its Growth Areas and includes information on topics that impact growth and development such as land use, transportation, economic development, community facilities, and the environment.

The Process.

All members of the community are invited to make their voices heard through surveys, public meetings, and visioning sessions. Visit the Get Involved page to learn more about upcoming opportunities and recaps of meetings/events that have already occurred.
